Getting married can be super scary. And as if the transition isn’t enough, add wedding planning stress on top of it to really put your adrenals into overdrive.

If you’re wondering if you’re ready to get married and you stumbled across you article, it’s probably because every other source you found said that you’re not ready and you’re trying to find one that tells you you are ready to get married, even if you’re kinda freaking out. (It’s actually a good thing!)

Well, you’re in the right place- because I’m telling you that it’s okay to feel like you’re not ready to get married, while also being engaged.

Because the truth is, is anyone reallyyyy ready to get married? I mean, no one knows how it’s going to turn out 100%, right?

Some girls just can’t wait to walk down the aisle and be Mrs. whatever and live happily ever after. Those girls probably make you gag a little and give you anxiety at the same time.

Just remember, their journey isn’t your journey…and it’s okay to not know if you’re ready.

The fact that you’re here, trying to find help and resources is also a good sign- it means that you’re more ready than you think.

Okay so let’s break this down shall we?

Ways to Know if You’re Ready to Get Married:

  1. You know that your partner is someone who will be a loving spouse and has no huge addictions or personality disorders that would get in the way of a healthy relationship
  2. When thinking about not getting married, you feel uneasy and try to find ways to stay, because deep down you know you love them and want this.
  3. You’re willing to put in some personal development and are open to growing.

That’s pretty much it. There probably won’t be a day when you wake up ready to get married. The truth is, if you’re feeling anxious about getting married, it’s probably stemming from a deeply rooted issue that you have to address through inner work and personal development.

Your fears most likely don’t have to do with marrying your partner, but more likely have to do with transitioning to this new chapter of your life.

There is no tell tale sign when you’ll know you’re ready. But if you put in some work, you’ll feel a lot better and gradually realize that this loving relationship is the natural next step.
